First Impression; He’s got his starter jacket on and trying to pretend not to look at the camera, which is strange.

Career stats: Jerry would play in 53 games. In 1982 he got his shot and was 10-10 as a starter for the Tigers. He gave up The next season he had a 7.15 ERA in 34 innings. He caught on with Cleveland for one more year and he was 1-2 in that last season with a 6.91 ERA.

All time stat: In 1982 he surrendered 29 homers. In 9 starts he allowed multi-homer games. 58 players have given up 29 homers in a season and struck out 86 or less batters. Of that group Jerry’s ERA in 1982 (3.69) was 2nd behind Ken Raffensberger who in 1951 for the Reds gave up 29 HR and struck out 81 batters had the lowest ERA at 3.44.

Fun fact: He surrendered 4 homers in one game, his single game high in 1982. The players that took him deep were; Ted Simmons and Ben Ogilvie 3 times. Ogilvie homered in his first 3 at bats and then was intentionally walked in the 8th. Despite his team scoring 7 runs, he only had 4 plate appearances.
