He would start the year of this card, with 1980 stats and he started 13 games for the Giants and went 4-6. In 1981 he was a September call up. He was then released and went home to Chicago to log 4 innings for the Cubs. He was out of baseball for two years and then pitched 13 innings for the Royals in 1986. His career record was 5-9.

All Time Stat: He surrendered 5 homers in his career; Bob Horner, Chris Chambliss, Joe Ferguson, Bill Buckner and Kelly Gruber.

Fun Fact: Since his retirement, Hargesheimer has worked as a scout for several teams, including the Detroit TigersColorado Rockies and San Diego Padres. As of 2018, Hargesheimer is the Director of International Scouting for the Nippon-Ham Fighters of the Japanese Pacific League and a professional scout for MLB’s Texas Rangers.*
